Craig's list insanity

So, like others, I poke around Craig's list some. I have been looking for a 9+ bhp OB to replace my POS B&S on my tinny, but I'm in no hurry. Well I came across this:

9.8 Yamaha outboard motor oil injected 4 stoke runs great

With a little bit of a smirk on my face, I emailed this:

What is an oil injected 4 stroke?

And I got this:

Kevin oil injected means you don't have to pre mix the oil with the gas. The engine has tank @ pump that injects the oil as you ruin the motor 4 stroke ?? in opppsed to a 2 stroke

This is a direct C & P. No, I did not change run to ruin . . .

So I sent this:

Dude . . . 4 strokes do NOT have oil in the fuel. Doesn't matter if it is pre-mix or injected, both are two stroke only . . . Trust me. So what is it?

And then I got this:

DUDE sorry i miss spoke it's a 4 stroke YOU DON'T NEED PREMIX.

So I sent this:

But DUDE, you?re missing my point, 4 strokes also do NOT have oil injection . . . Or let me put it differently, if it IS oil injected, it is a 2 stroke.

I am still waiting for the next installment . . .

I think it's safe to assume that regular maintenance on this one would be questionable..

A little ole lady on our Market Place (AM Radio sell/trade show) had a bunch of 8 track video tapes. I know I lived during the time of 8 tracks, and I've never known them to play video. However she insists that is what they were made for.........

Maybe it burns oil so bad they needed to add an oil injection system I had a lawn tractor like that once. The old "fill the oil and check the gas" scenario.

If Yamaha ever made a 9.8 HP, it is not recently....they have been doing a 9.9 for a long tiime.
