I have a 1999 evinrude 5hp 4 stroke (the one made by suzuki). My manual says to buy SA10w- 30 high detergent oil or the johnson/ evinrude 4 stroke oil for the crank. It also says to use HPF Johnson/ evinrude gearcase lube, which I cant find anywhere. Can someone tell me what kind of crank and gear case oil I can use for this engine that I would be able to find at my local auto supply store or Walmart?
Thanks

That mtr might not have been made by Suzuki. You should be able to get both oils at your local supplier but get the marine grade lower unit oil.

Are there any generic crank oil and gearcase oil that I can buy at any local auto parts store?

10W-30 auto engine oil is fine for that engine - it is high detergency and about as common as sliced bread. Get it at any auto store. Any lower unit lube will work for the lower unit. Get that at any auto store. Even Walmart has both oils.

Look for a lower unit oil for manual shift lower units, somewhere in the 75-90 wt.
