Crappy idle till really warmed up, normal??? 9.9 force

New to me early 90's 9.9 force. Starts good but has a hard time idling for quite awhile. 10 to 15 minutes, then seems to idle better. Do any other force owners find this? Is there any ideas if not. New plugs, good compression thats about my limit though so far mech wise. Any input would be great and helpfull.

Could start with rebuilding the carburator, fuel pump and replace all the fuel lines with new. Most idle problems are in the idle circuit of the carb, oh yeah a Thermostat may be in order if your motor has one. If it is stuck open it could take a lot longer for it to get to a warm enough operating temperature.

Thanks for the input, must do a bit more research though, tech pub wise, before I delve into that.
