Glycol is alcohol.

The term "alcohol" usually refers to monohydric alcohols, Ie with only one hydroxyl group,or specfically to ethanol. Glycols are dihydric alcohols ie diols.


Oldboat,at what temperature is water the most dense ??
Pure water has its maximum density at 4?C

Sea water contains sufficient salt to not show a maximum density above its freezing point

Yes, various glycols are used in making gel coat depending on the intended use.
