A buddy got his boat running this weekend... it's a home-made 21' welded aluminum with a 454 / 8-71 / intercooled / bravo drive (715 h.p. on dyno test)... initial testing (after a short break in) shows a stable 85 mph @ 5000 rpm(gps) and there's still lots of throttle. The picture's not so good but they were a ways away from us (thankfully) and travelling a little fast This is definately not my kind of ride but I can appreciate the performance! Wow!

Mag that is definetly impressive. A home made aluminum boat, welded to boot, that does 85 without breathing hard.....that is cool. My regards to your friend.

He did mention it's hard to see over 50 mph or so... he's a little on the crazy side (can you guess by the boat he built?)... I wouldn't expect him to get a helmet any time soon.
