Cuts out on deacceleration.

I was wondering what were the possible causes of a outboard cutting out only on deacceleration?

I have a 90 20hp Johnson that I put a bigger carb and intake on and it runs great except for the fact that it cuts out when coming down from WOT. Idles prefect and runs great on the way up to WOT.

When I got the carb I think the shop cleaned it but I did a good acetone soak just to be sure it was spotless so is there other things that can make the motor cut out.

electric stuff gets hot while running at wot, maybe when u slow down the power going to the spark plugs are weak, hence cutting off, is it hard to restart right after cutting off? or do you have to wait to restart?

Doesn't die most of the time just cuts in and out. If I go down to idle really fast it doesn't even cut out. Just cuts out high-mid to idle

check you kill switch circuit/circuits there may be a scuff in the wiring somewhere...
