I will try to make this story short...

I am at work at a logging camp, we stay in a fishing lodge as our boss owns it and many other companies. One of our other logging camps boats in to camp every day and they blew the engine in their boat. So they are taking a boat from the lodge, it's a custom made aluminum with a volvo diesel. I have been asked a question by our HD mechanic who test started it in the water, there is 1 or 2 warning lights that are on, they say CVS if I understood him. They guy taking it has to take it on a few hour trek in some pretty serious open waters so we want to make sure it's safe, they just put a new clutch in for the supercharger, but thats all we know...

I asked and he didn't know what kinda engine was in it.

thanks for the help

Re: CVS warning light?

Volvo produce a large number of engines diesel and gas. I know Honda cars can have a check engine light come on when their "Cannister Shut Valve" or CSV is inoperable. This can come about because the fuel cap is not on properly for example. Without more information this really is impossible to say.
