I have a 1980 Suzuki DT85.I'm trying to rebuild tilt trim cylinders.I've tried removing the caps counter clock wise with no go.Are they left hand thread?
The thread should be regular thread/ counterclockwise to loosen. Difficulty removing these is not uncommon, especially with a model as old as yours. To ease the process, try soaking the cap in penetrating oil and then use a little heat- heat gun/ propane torch.
