Looking good. What material did you end up using ? I see a vacant spot on the right hand side. What are the plans for that ?

Re: Dash panel installed

RodC the vacant spot is for 5 switches the same as the tilt/trim on the left side. :) I am having issues with the wood paper thing I am trying to use as a panel but soon I will have it figured out.
That pic is actually the dash mockup but I have installed it and it all works!
Basically It is a 1/2" plywood board with 4 holes in it and the top is a 45 degree angle. I painted the board with white paint then after it was dry(2 coats) I sprayed it with my vinyl dye that I had left over. I figure if it lasts it lasts if not I can always redo it. :)

I will probably get some 1/8 in aluminum or plexglass polycarbonate something and redo that wee little panel. Good thing the switched have labels cause there very little room left.

I will finish it for sure Tuesday no matter what.
Cuase Wednesday I will be cruising the Cochiti.

I will make sure i get aroud the bend and opener up when the patrol is not watchin me. :)

Re: Dash panel installed

Just an update I was trying to install windows 98 to play an older game and killed my XP installation with almost all pictures. I got up and running 3 hrs later but the pictures are gone to 00101000111000 land!
Good thing I did a backup about six months ago.

I really should have know better but I will probably not make it to the lake this week. :(

I did get most of the wiring done the switch panel has me stumped though. Will muddle through.
I can see the guages over the wheel just fine. :)
Not the wiring thats easy but how do do the panel as the switches ar big and leave little material to hold it together so to speak.

Yes all done. I used Lexan. It is tough and held together just fine. was easy to use too. The panel I tried was with a 1/8 inch think paper like panel but it broke in half when I installed it. Probably would have shreded if I had gotten it wet too.

You have probably already done this but I will suggest it just in case. Take the time to draw out a wiring diagram on paper first before you start the actual hook-ups. When you do start actual hook-ups, check each switch operation first before continuing on to the next. Nothing more frustrating then having to take things apart to make repairs once everything is complete and in place. Looking really good thus far. Are you crimping or soldering those connections  Sorry, couln't resist :D :D :D

Re: Dash panel installed

Thank you all.
RodC no, no drawings for me what I did was use the correct color codes. then hooked up all negatives to bus, then hooked up 1 positive at a time and tested.

The bilge pump has 3 wires 1 is for the float and 1 for the switch. Negative was already yellow and grounded. I then took the wired up positive wire and touched it to the posative bus. :) Yes on the fuse side. When I heard the motor I knew this was the switch wire the other brown was wired to the same post as the switch positive behind the fuse so both are fused and powered. I actually blew a fuse as I was using a 2 amp to do this knowing what could happen.

I then had to undo all the wireing to take out the broken panel and replace it with the polycarbonate 1. :D

Oh all wires are crimped except the big 6 guage I wired to the fuse block. Gotta get the hang of the big wire crimper is all.
All other big wires are crimped now that I know how to do it correctly.

Well lets see I have to work and then work then see Starwars then work then work then work then work again. Then I get a day off. Maybe then. :D
Soon. But I think I might just do carpet work to bide the time till it gets wet again.

Oh and now the tilt/trim went south. Gotta get some o-rings and such hope it fixes it. I can't afford a new motor yet!
