I have a 1995 Sea Ray 195 Bowrider. None of my dash switches work. I have 4, Engine Fan, Bilge Pump, Lights, and Horn. I checked all the fuses and none are blown. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Dash Switches not Working

Yes -- the fuses were not blown because the problem is between the fuse panel and the battery. At the battery there should be a #8 or #10 gauge red and black wire. That is the main feed to the fuse panel. Somewhere close to the POSITIVE battery post in the red wire there should be a fuse or circuit breaker. That fuse or breaker protects the wiring between the battery and the fuse panel. If that breaker is open or the fuse is blown, power can't get to the panel so NONE of the switches will work. If there was power at the panel then it would be highly unusual for all of the accessories to be out since each is protected by its own fuse (typically). So first, make sure the red and black wires are connected properly at the battery and the connections clean and tight. Hint: Looking is not checking. Then check the fuse or breaker.

Thanks. Another thing I forgot to mention, is that when I do press the switches, I notice activity on the dash instruments. For example, I see a drop in voltage on the battery meter when I hit the fan switch.

You do have a fully charged battery do you not??? Just because it registers 12 volts on the gauge does not mean it is charged. Apply a load as you do when turning on a switch and the voltage drops to zero giving you the impression things are not working. They aren't obviously, but not for the reason you are thinking. Charge the battery.
