Unplugged the stop switch's to both handle and case..still no spark. anyone care to walk me thru a test of the Stator? I have the tools. Still waiting for the Manual... Palau is long way out. gjs@palaunet.com
I'n not certain, but maybe you need to short the wires together on one or both switches rather than lifting the wires off the switches. One or both swithches may be normally open rather than normally closed. Here is where a continuity tester is needed to test the switches.
Unplug the two wires between the stator and switchbox. Hook up an ohm meter to the tho wires and pull the manual starter to check for any fire from stator.
I also checked both stator wires to ground one showed high ohms the other wire showed open.
Then I replaced my stator and my no fire problem was solved.
