Something happenned last week that passed without fanfare.

Our conservative, liberal, highly regulatory government, paid the final instalment on our countries foreign debt. We are now debt free.

I, for one, believe that deserves some recognition. :)

Yes, I followed that story very closely, and really appreciate our Govt's achievment. Lets hope we can keep those Labour party clowns and their oversized Ringmaster out of office at the next elections, because they will reverse the situation in about 5 days.
Thanks for that Aldo.
Cheers
Phillip

I think QC was over on business and combined a little visit with the trip. He has been a bit scarce around the dock lately. Perhaps he is involved in some corporate intrigue. ;)

I am not a fan of some Bush fiscal policies (I believe strongly in his tax cuts), but let me get this straight. Are you suggesting that a Democrat run on Congressional seats would result in more responsible fiscal policies?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, pwssssttt (that's the sound of warm beer being shot out of my nose) :p :p :p

Yep, foreign debt.

The bad news is, they were able to pay the debt because they raised taxes - double edged sword :( :)
