Hey guys happy holidays! Hope you are all having a great holiday season.
Santa has brought me an early christmas present, a variable speed buffer. Hooray! So I am about to embark on a project of rubbing compound, polish and wax to get the boat looking great for next season.
My question is my decals and pinstriping are original and not in perfect condition, so will the buffer scratch them off? I will avoid them but am bound to hit them.

Also if they do come off where can I get new ones and are they expensive to replace.

The boat is a 1998 glastron gs180.
Thanks so much

Stay away from them with the buffer, it will burnish them. I found that when doing mine, I mean you can go over them as long as your moving pretty fast, but be carefull when scooching right up to the edges of them or between them, and if you don't care or just want to remove them, don't try it with a buffer it will make a gooey mess.
