I have a 2006 Yamaha 25hp, 2-stroke that I run with Yamalube and Yamaha's Ringfree additive every tank full. I read the detailed "Decarbing" report in the "Engine Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" section and have 2 questions:
1) Is decarbing, as described using Seafoam every 50-60 hours, still necessary when using the Ringfree?? (I have been using the Ringfree from day one).
2) The Ringfree instructions suggest a "shock" treatment; is this in lieu of the Seafoam decarbing and if so, how often do you shock treat?
Thanks for all the help!
Eric
