Thanks everyone, that gave me some great ideas, i think i can proceed now, Ill let you know what i decide upon and post pictures when completed... Is thewre a way to move this entire thread and post it on my old one?

What did you end up using?

I'm looking at the same options and leaning toward Durabak, Softsand looked pretty good but they don't mention much about UV protection. Anyone who keeps there boat in a slip for the full season will tell you that's pretty important. Durabak seems pretty popular and I haven't seen a bad review online yet, a bit pricey but I guess that's just boating ;)

I did Durabak and tried to use a coat of smooth over the textured to take out some of the roughness. It looks like it will really hold up but I have to see how it scrubs clean and holds up to the test of time.

Kiwi grip looks really good as well as another option.

Yeah i've heard of people doing that before, were you happy with the Durabak before you applied the smooth over the textured. If no then why?

I did look really good and hid any cosmetic issues. The textured might have been good enough but I was hoping to make it a bit easier to wipe clean.
