I am the new happy owner of a 57 Evinrude 35hp (I think it is a 57, didnt look up serial number yet). Anyhow, it is missing one circular emblem, and has a broken latch, both on the engine cover.

Is there a place other than ebay to look for these parts?

needle in a haystack, ebay is probably the best, every once in a while they pop up.

Peter McDowell has reproduction Evinrude medallions at nymarine.com. Select "Items for Sale", "Parts for Sale", then "Medallions".

Thanks for the help - I cant find that Peter McDowell Nymarine site...? any hints? I would be fine with a repro - this will not be a restoration, just a refurbish :)

it is "www.nymarine.ca" Without the quotation marks. But isn't the one you are looking for made of metal? Peter is making the plastic ones (different motors). And they are not finished.
