Degree symbol ??????

How do get the degre symbol behind a digit ? I have been trying to figure this out for years but have'nt had the courage to ask. Every ? gets answered here.

do it using the numbers pad on the side of the keyboard


or

cut and paste it


or start>programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map

69? wow it only works with the alt 0176 method now I can die with a smile on my face that has had me by the short ones for over 10yrs. thanx bruce58?. This should be a stickie I wish I had a dollar for every discussion involving timming and the sysmbol isn't being used or something in it's place. I nominate bruce58? as I-boater of the month

Hold the Alt key, 'n type 0176 on the # pad.... ? :D

my laptop doesn't have a numeric keypad so I have to cut and paste from the char map. When I was in college for engineering I memorized Alt+0176. You use it a lot.

? Just a quick tip if you're using a laptop (mine is a dell) with an embedded numeric pad in the keyboard. Hold down the Alt key along with your (usually) blue function key and then type 0176 using the embedded number keypad.

I always wondered why I have a num lock if there is no num pad??

ALT 167 = ?
ALT 0176 = ?
What's the difference? They are slightly different.

Currently 75 here and the ALT167 doesn't do a thing on this laptop :mad:
