Interesting. I alway used alt 248 for the degree symbol. Others I've found useful:

alt 241 ?
alt 242 ≥
alt 243 ≤

as I type with two fingers and have to watch the keyboard while typing, its why I use shift and the astrick function,10* BTDC.
to much brain leakage to remember the rest.
kills me watching my little sis.
85 WPM and her keyboard is not only one of them thar confounded ergonomical thangs.
all the white is missing from the keyboard.
I cant use it .
then I get the wifes spanish keyboard occasionally.
thats nasty too.

50?... Cool... Thank you. Where might I find a listing of all the symbols and their respective "alt codes"? I played a little bit and inadvertantly found a few other cool ones including a propeller. I can't remember the number, though. You've opened up a kinda' cool can of worms

The character map can generally be found under start-->accessories-->system tools. It may not be in that exact location but it's there somewhere.
