He is so nice to not run, what a great guy. Truth he can not win and should be in jail next year at this time. This is a bad guy who used the trust of his followers to steal both money and power. Yes there are D's the same and they need to go as well, starting in Mass.

As if Democrats don't Gerrymander.
What do you think all the howling out of New Orleans is about. Who sets the districts anyway? The State Legislature or Congress?

And Haut, that's the problem with Dem's. Their lack of vision and ideas can't win at the ballot box, so their only hope is to win via the jury box.

Now he's gone. Be careful what you wish for. The Dem candidate might now actually have to stand FOR something and run on the issues.

This guy is a criminal regardless of party, why would anyone want to support him or defend his actions.

So that means you can call him guilty without a trial? That sounds just like Bush bashing on gossip.

Yeah, JB if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then guess what, you don't need a jury to call it a duck, all you need is a pot to roast it in...

Abramoff was his number one buddy, he was laundering political payoffs so they could be turned into campaign contributions. You know the whole illegal campaign contribution thing.

JB, Since you blessed this thread with your obnoxium, tell me true, OJ kill his wife or not, how about Robert Blake, jury found them innocent,

and I agree with knobby quack, quack.

If every member of congress retired because of similar reasons we wouldnt get a quorum.

When will you folks ever realize everyone of them is crooked?

The point being, yipee he is out, but lets see how the next guy is gonna rip us off.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

These charges are as stupid as the impeachment charges against Clinton. Maybe if these idiots would stop the political posturing and start doing their job the USA would be a better place.

Ken

WA State
A year ago a person could have a smoke in a bar.
Today 04-04-06 you would be commiting a crime.

Same thing applies here.

But hey who wants to look at the truth.

Re: DeLay, one down more to follow

So he's guilty by association? If your brother kills someone, are you automatically guilty of murder as well?

The fact is that as of right now, Delay has broken NO laws. And, as stated above, we enjoy the "innocent until proven guilty" belief in this country.

It really doesn't matter what a politician does- the result is always skewed to fit whatever result you want. The Dems are gleeful because a Republican is stepping down and they think it's because he's going down. He says he's stepping down because the next Rep to run there will smoke the Dem candidate easily. The Reps say he has served 20+ years and should give new blood a chance. Who do you believe? They all may have merit to their stories, they may not.

He's leaving- that's about the only factual thing you can say. The rest is speculation.

UFM82

OJ and Robert Blake were found to be not guilty, they were not proclaimed to be innocent, if they were, then the civil suit would not have any basis.
Jack Abramov had a trial prior to being proclaimed guilty.
txs, your mere suspicions have not (yet) been proven as fact.

Let me state a fact: As of this moment, DeLay IS NOT the target of any federal investigation related to Abramoff. You can keep wishing and hoping I suppose.

Re: DeLay, one down more to follow

And another.... Bob Novak wrote last week that close friends of Abramoff told Novak, Abramoff has no damning information to offer up to the prosecution.

Why are you so bent on destroying someone's life for TX? At the end of the day, how does that make your life any the better? These threads are starting to reveal more, I think, about YOUR character, than the persons you, for whatever sick reasons, seek to demonize.
