Yup, had he been In Hussien's Iraq he could have just been gassed or tortured, no trial, no waste of time or money.........oops, this is America, we actually have to try to find out all the facts before we condemn someone. Gee, kind of makes me happy to be an American citizen. How can anyone believe everything our press puts out?????????? Just because its in the paper or on the six o'clock news does not make it gospel, and, if it were not for the press, how many people would even know who the H-E- double hockey sticks he is ?????

R or D if he is actually convicted of abusing the trust we the taxpaying public placed upon them then it should be a mandatory doubleing of the sentance, however this is the US and I still think if you dont have the evidence to convict the accused walks.
as it should be.
I dont know much about Tom Delay, however I sure hope he did not do what he is accused of. however if he did the punishment should be doubled for the breach of trust.
I dont care if your a cop, fireman, meter reader or garbage chunker or federal worker. if you use your position of public trust in and willingly commiting a crime the punishment should be doubled. I dont care if your a rehub,a dumbocrat or a space alien in drag.

He is so nice to not run, what a great guy. Truth he can not win and should be in jail next year at this time. This is a bad guy who used the trust of his followers to steal both money and power.
Abramoff was his number one buddy, he was laundering political payoffs so they could be turned into campaign contributions. You know the whole illegal campaign contribution thing.

Make up your mind Tex, is he guilty of money laundering or money stealing? Now, what power did he steal? If you"re to have even a shread of credibilty you have quit your left wing radical lies, you're starting to sound like Al Gore

Kwas, I guess I am confused as I thought you could launder money and steal it but how would I know.

Darth, Actually OJ and Robert were found innocent. That is the verdict in a criminal case, guilty or innocent. Civil cases we find legal liability, a whole different deal.

Odd, Bad news, I have just handed over control and operation of my company to my son and now I have more time for you and others, unless I am fishing. Finally I am no longer owner management and can move to the side of the American labor force. Hell I like them better than the snobs at the Country Club, yeah I know but I belong to two.

You will also be glad to hear no SS for me yet as I have a few years to go so I will draw a salary from the company as a consultant to maximize my socialist welfare to be received from the government. I thought about unemployment as well but too busy to apply for jobs. Hehehehe

TEX, yes you CAN launder money and steal it, He is being accused of laundering money, NOT stealing money, get you facts straight. Now tell me what power he stole, I am sure you are not suggesting that he bypassed his electric meter are you?

Yeah, JB if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then guess what, you don't need a jury to call it a duck, all you need is a pot to roast it in...

Funny you put it that way..

Soo If a person doesnt want to improve his or her life by there own power, but still wants everything a hard working person does, why dont you call them what they really are?? Worthless and undeserving.

But you dont do you? You call them underpriledged..So you take from the hard working people and give it to them and call it wellfare..I call it vote buying,But thats not criminal to you..

And Im not talking about the mentally ill or truly disabled either so dont go there. Im talking about the millions of fully functional worthless people in this socialism that youre party has bread over the past 90 years..

Haut, do you have an address for Solid, I think I need to send him some of my crazy pills.

Darth unless they have changed the rules one is Innocent until proven Guilty. It is ok but inserting a second foot in your mouth does not help.

Western State Psychiatric Center ;) :) :)
BTW, Darth is technically correct.....
When a verdict is read, it is 'Guilty' or 'Not Guilty'......
But you are 'guilty' until proven innocent....
Even though it is not written that way! ;) ....JK

I am pleased to see that you recognise as fact that the law of the land stipulates one is Innocent until proven guilty, however it is most unfortunate that you could not bring yourself to afford Mr DeLay the very same measure.
I'd rather have my foot in my mouth, unlike you with your head up your arse :)

I think TX is referring to Delay redrawing the dictrict lines in Texas so that more R's would get elected into office.

Forget the fact that he chopped up his own district, making it a vulnerable seat.

Wouldn't it be nice to be as sure about anything as some people are about everything?
