Delco Voyager Est timing question

1985 Mercruiser 140 is the motor in question.Do I time it to the 6 degrees BTDC like my motor sticker and manual say, or to the new Delco EST distributor which says 0 decrees at 700 RPM. This will be timed at my dock in the water with it tied off in neutral. Thanks in advance.

Do it as the EST instructions say - EXACTLY.

the delco EST instructions are very specific.

0 degrees at 700 RPM with the shunt to put in base timing mode.

once you remove the shunt, the motor will be at about 7-10 degrees at idle
