Just bought this boat in Denver off craigslist. My brother in law lives there and picked it up for me. He is going to come to Dallas for Christmas and bring the boat.

I want it NOW!!!!

Is anybody driving from Denver to Dallas that wants a little gas money? Would you consider pulling my boat here?

Well, give us some details. What kind did you buy, etc. By answering, you run the risk of getting this thread moved.

It's a 1959 Fleetform Commodore. It's been mostly restored. It has a (I think) 1959 50hp Johnson on the back. Runs perfectly. The guy said he ran thru it mostly.

Navy blue on bottom and cream top. Seats aren't original. I would love to find bench seats for it.

Can't wait to get it out on the water.

Hey 57WH, Some more vintage glass I see!! Looks very nice.

Too bad yer so far from God's country.

I'm gettin' rid of my Mom's early 1960's Pacific Mariner, ('course it needs restoration), n' I may have to cut it up and haul it to the dump if I can't find any takers, (price: free). It is just like the boats used at the worlds' fair here in 1962 to pull skiiers in Memorial Stadium when they had it set up during the fair. Mom's boat kinda looks like a boat Batman would like.

I like runnin' the old stuff too, I jus' have outboard motors, (engines), that actually get up n' go (fast), not limp along like those ol' Johnyrudes! :) (Mom's had a early 1990's 30 HP 'rude, that I put on a more modern boat for her).

Great lookin' ride: I say! JR

I've got to see a pic of this boat. I may make a road trip to see ya. Really. Send a pic. I love old wings.

I'll bet it's a Stiletto.

I will defnitely get you a picture of the "bat boat" before I cut it up or give it away.

Mom's 30 HP Rude did not seem to push it very fast, (it came with a 650 Merc that I never got on the water but the guy who sold it to me said it was scary with the 65 hp short shaft that I put on another of me old boats).

The "fins" don't stick up like yer yellow boat they are folded (if you would call them 'fins' at all), it just gets wider near the stern, and people, (like my Mom) who like that type of older boat would really get excited about it.

I may get one for ya next week if I have a camera along. JR

I'll be out there Saturday, I'll keep an eye out for ya. Nice looking boat BTW, be hard to miss out there!

We can compare Craigslist rides I guess; I'll be in my $150 Skeeter I grabbed off CL a couple years ago. It's amazing the effect a wife can have on the price of something when she wants it gone!:)

You bought that? I remember seeing it on CL and thought it was pretty interesting.

Mine is a 1977 Skeeter Hawk. I honestly don't like it, but the 85hp Johnson runs good and it'll scoot across the water at 42mph when I open it up. It has a "stick steer" system that reminds me everytime I take it out why they don't make 'em anymore. You get beat to death up there in heavy chop and it's hard to turn under power

I want to find a nice hull that I can put all my good electronics and motor on. I see plenty, but none seem to have a title or intact transoms.

I didn't get it off of craigs list. Was it on there? Did it have a different trailor?

The guy I bought it off of bought it for the nice bass boat trailor under it, and put this "thing" under it instead.

Still great deal. I sold it for $550 in 3 days. you can see the spot I polished up on the side. looked like new.

 I think I just figured out you saw "my" listing of it on craigslist:redface:
