I found a pretty good deal on one of these motors, is there any likes or dislikes about them?

I loved mine 2004 DF115 quiet,good gas runner,it scoots,until the warranty was out or up and Suzuki won't talk to you after you've found a defective part. But they have crappy customer service as far as I'm am concerned. Just my 2 cents.

I have a 2007 DF115 and so far I love it. It is very economical and at idle it is especially quiet, my wife even went to restart it on thinking it had died. Luckily I stopped her in time. Before the Suzuki all I knew were Mercury products.

Check the prop shaft bearing housing, where it mates the gearcase for corrosion. Most owners don`t do the maintenance because of cost. You are suppose to remove housing, clean and reinstall. Part of required maintenance. Could cost you a gearcase.

I bought the motor. It is a 2007 still new in the crate and comes with a 6 year warranty. It is going on a 1872 xpress jon boat so it should push it nicely.
