I OWN A SUZUKI DF50 WITH POWER TILT N TRIM. THERE ARE TWO POWER TILT/TRIM SWITCHES ON THE REMOTE AWAY FROM THE MOTOR AND ONE ON THE ENGINES SIDE.

MY ISSUE IS WHEN ENGAGING EATHER SWITCH YOU HEAR A CLICK IN THE ENGINE HEAD BUT NO ENGINE TILT MOVEMENT...SOUNDS LIKE A SOLENOID CLOSING. DEPRESSING EATHER SWITCH MULTIPLE TIMES MAY ACTUALLY WORK AND THE MOTOR WILL TILT.

MY QUESTION IS...DOES THIS CIRCUIT CONTAIN A RELAY IN THE ENGINE HEAD ?

yes
sounds like your tilt relay is failing. cant remember if the DF50 has one or two relays but one may be failing.

Re: DF50 TILT TRIM

ye u r correct! -inside the "black box" on the uh, starb. side of the engine is a bix black thing, thats the computer, to the right of that, are three relays, the 1st & 2nd r for the trim and the lower is for the starter.
disconnect the battery, disconnect the thick green and thick blue from the relays, put theese cabels to + and - directly on a 12v battery; if the engine goes up & down (switch polarity) the electrical motor on the powertrim is ok, u need new trimrelays, if not, u need a new trimmotor

Re: DF50 TILT TRIM

Check the battery connections, and connections between the relays and the T/T motor. This system will not work with low voltage.
