Dhadley, i know you are just south of me in Port Charlotte and was checki to see if everything is ok with you and your family? Hurricane Charley was a nightmare!
According to a newspaper article I read, "Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte were obliterated by the storm". it also indicated they were still without electricity. Let's all hope and pray that DHadley's fine and well.
Those pics are unbelievable. We had 105 mph gusts when the eye passed over us in Orlando after traveling over 100 miles over land. I'm a government official in Orange County and have been dealing with the storm damage here all week. I hate to think of the damage that thing did in Dhadleys area.
Reeldutch,<br /><br />DHadley is a crusty old fart with a white beard and a passing resemblence to Ernest Hemingway. I'll bet he is fine, it's just that there is not much infrastructure down there, spotty cell phone service, no electricity, closed or damaged businesses, blocked roads, etc.
