I have two simple questions for you. I have read that a crossflow can run without the air silencer and not be in danger of a lean condition?? Is this true?? Do you think I would pick up any response upon removal? I think I read somewhere that it would not hurt the crossflow but it will hurt the looper. I figure it would probably have a nice sound to it also. I am running a 78 140 crossflow by the way. My second question is on fuel filtration. I am running a 3/8" clear paper filter on my fuel line. Am I harming anything by using this?? I like the idea of have a media besides a screen filtering my fuel but does that allow all my oil to pass?? I have had people tell me it isn't which has me worried. I don't see how it would stop the oil though. For one, a much heavier weight oil ie...motor or hydraulic is filtered with paper media although at a much higher pressure. That and the fact that our 2cycle oil is so well mixed in with the gas I do not see how it would stop any of the oil. Just wondering your opinions on these two things. Thanks alot.
