You mean that when I remove the hook to keep the fish from bothering me I'm not enjoying myself? Naw...
That's a good one! I'd rather be a happy idiot than a really smart sob - I'm not implying that anyone here is one - I'm just saying.

Amen! I have been out in the boat 13+ miles into the ocean on a completely flat day. Brought all the essentials with me and never even wet a line that day. It truly is the peace and zen of the situation. However, I have also tried like heck and couldn't even catch a cold! That's when I felt like an idiot. Beer, fuel, bait, ice...I fugure if I actually caught anything, it would be worth $33.00 a pound!

Hunting and fishing are very similar and satisfying to those who enjoy these endevors. Hunting ducks, deer, gators, squirrels, turkeys, hogs, etc. can also be done in or from boats or even combined into a fishing trip! I must look like an idiot as I sometimes sit in my boat IN THE DRIVEWAY and relax while I finish a beer. I swear it gives me a sense of calm and warmth just knowing I could be out on the water in 1/2hr...........as soon as I finish maintanence, cleaning, or fixing or fabbing my next boat improvement :D
