different impeller materials?

think i could get an impeller made up out of teflon? or maybe poly-ethelyene plastic? why are they made of rubber anyways? arent the screens on the pickup supposed to keep the rocks out?!

im thinking about replacing my impeller even though it is peeing water real good, but it has been a year or so since it was done. hrmm just thinking if i could use a different material, it might last the lifetime of the motor?

there are silicon impellors and teflon impellors.

nope there even better, but pricy and hard to find, they can be custom made

excellent! i will make my own teflon impeller since teflon is more slippery than plastic.. or DOES ANYONE OUT THERE SELL TEFLON IMPELLERS FOR A 92 Jhonson Tracker Pro 60 HP?? hrmm if im gunna do the impeller, might as well make it last, right?

holy! i aint needin none them space cadets shovin parts at me! ima gunna go down the local college and tell them kids they want a real project they can study the boat motor and build me a water propellor for my water pump. they aught get out the auto designer programs and click click double click whip me out a space propellor.<br /><br />so what your sayin is that for 250 i gets a propellor that i wont have to change for a long time huh? and it will fit my 60 horseS motor??

yeah 250, pluse the special housing made out of titainium will run you 3000, and it is actualy russa, that made that one (joint effort)
