How many of 'toon owners have some sort of a PORTABLE MARINE TOILET
Looking at different styles & would like to hear from those that have a style they like & how they have it "installed"
I permanently built in the rear half of my boat that includes a permanent head. I recommend you get one the height of a regular toilet or build a frame for the shorter ones. The marine toilets will come with mounting hardware to secure it to the deck.
We have an Electric Thetford Porta-Potti in our changing room and it works great. It has a 5gal. capacity and uses fresh water for each flush. They last for years.
When it's nearly filled just take it home and dump it in your toilet.
If you keep the porta-potti chemicals in there, you can wait until it's full. Here in the hot summers of Florida, I've often been two or three months between dumps.
I bought a new SeaLand SaniPottie Portable Toilet model # 960 off Ebay for $46 shipped
Good tip on the "riser"
When it arrives i'll let you know how & where i put the "head"
My old deckboat had a Thetford. I really, really, didn't want to be the one to empty it. But, eventually the time came and I braced myself. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the chemical additive works very well.
What ever you do, make sure that you use the recommended product.
