Discontinued CMC Tilt and Trim Part CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!

I am needing the repair kit not the whole part, it is just the Brush Repair Kit. The original part # according to CMC was 8060, but since it was discontinued it may not still be listed under that #. The serial #on the whole part is 250010431 model # DCH-2500. The part that I need could also be called the end cap, that's what they said CMC use to call it.

have you called CMC? if unavailable, take the motor to a starter repair shop. they have many kinds of brushes.

Agreed. any starter/alternator shop should be able to set you up.

i am having the same issue, also when i opened it up there was no rod in the motor, is anywhere i can find the rod. cmc said they would sell me a referb 13 year old one fore $600.00

you'd be better off replacing.

For $600 you can buy a brand new CMC PT130 complete with the gauge. You could then sell your old unit for parts and recoup some of your cost.
