distributor cap 2.3 liter ford ( 88 glasstream)

I've gone to Auto Zone and asked for a distibutor cap for a 88 ford 2.3 liter motor. They want to know what kind of car. When I told them its for a boat they tried to match it. they cant find a match. Anyone know a car or truck that had this same motor? Or another source i can get the cap and rotor.

When OMC used that 'engine' they sent us a Ford industrial manual.Maybe it never was an auto engine.I don't think it ever should have been put in a boat.<br /><br />DHP
