Better check or replace your fuel tank.Lol, amazon is good for some things, one has to know what not to buy from them, I been going with Crowley Marine so far, kinda of alone on all this until now. Its a learning experience.
It was running great, but let it set for a couple of months, perhaps downfall, then it wouldn't start. Pulled the carburetor off and cleaned it up, replaced bad fuel with new, basically cleaned everything up, still no go. Pulled fuel pump off and it was a mess, full of an unbelievable amount of debris, so I said hell with it and ordered another one, process of elimination I suppose.
Yea that was on the agenda, cleaned out the fuel tank, replaced lines, and new fuel filter, the whole thing pretty much overhauled. Spot on with tank and lines.Better check or replace your fuel tank.
Don’t throw away your old pump.
You may need it again someday.
I checked out the overhaul kits, and what not, but decided, go for new, you only live once.New diaphragm is $5.33 in US funds.
Im in my 60s now but one thing my Dad drilled into me was;Use to save things that I thought I may need at a latter date, but I have implemented a rule, if I have to move it out my way over three times its gone, I felt this was one of those items.
But thanks
Yep, Im keeping and old 3.7 running...I save just about everything unless it 100% broken and even then I’ll taking it apart and salvage what’s still good. It’s a illness. My friends give me hell for it but I’m the first guy they call when they need some strange part.
