The kids and I hunt and plink with them too.<br /><br />These morons and BS gun laws...Lets put them UNARMED in the neighborhood of the skinheads and their automatic weapons and see what happens.<br /><br />H.

I am in a situation in the county that I live in. I live in a township that has allowed firing of your guns until recently. Lateley the DO-GOODERS are trying their best to remove that right. I was forced to stop target practice this past summer because people inside the city limits were complaining about gunshots. I finally got written permission to shoot onto the lot next to me which is a big hill with lots of trees and brush. Lots of hunters hunt on the lot. I conformed to all the specs that the sheriff had complained about. We sent out about a month ago and preceeded to target practice again. Sheriff shows up and stops us again. They saw that we had everything under control, but they told us to stop because the sound was going into a heavy populated area and that they had complaints. <br /><br />Lately if you have been listening to wildlife officials, The bigger wild animals are moving into populated areas. Bears and big cats are trying to get into peoples houses. Of course you can kill the animals causing damage to your house, but if your not allowed to have a gun, what are you going to do. <br /><br /> Then this is another one of those things that doesn't make sense. An animal can be shot for being a threat to your property, but a human that comes onto your property can't be shot unless he threatens to hurt you personally? The animal doesn't know any better, but the punk human does.<br /><br />Gun controls are only made by a minority that is forcing their thoughts and beliefs onto the majority. Our democracy is failing due to the minority controlling the majority of the people. No wonder our younger generation is confused on how our government works. I'm confused as well........SSM

SS Mayfloat, I agree with you totally. The legitimacy of the motives of those who wish to undermine the 2nd amendment should be as carefully investigated as the Whitewater scandle and where the WMDs are. It doesn't matter how empassioned the cry's for gun control are if they are the result of misguided or misinformed persons. <br /><br />About the noise complaints, if you check your local noise ordinance, there is probably a periode during daylight hours (like 5AM to 5PM) during which noise complaints are not followed up on, otherwise you couldn't build a house, etc. Plus it sounds like your local constabulary is representing everyones interests but yours.
