Do I need LEAD ADDITIVE or not?

I just inhareted a 1964 9.5 hp Sportwinn and am wondering do I need to add lead additive to my fuel? I assume that I should any advice?

No, older motors need lead additive as a valve guide lubricant. 2-strokes have no valves.

Great motors those 9.5s enjoy.

You need a TCW-3 oil at 50:1 ratio with 87 or 89 US Octane gasoline. You need to add a fuel stabilizer like Sta-Bil whenever you add fuel. You should add a de-carbon product like seafoam as well.

Besides being bio-degradable:D, 100% synthetic TCW-3 oils have a higher flash point and produce less carbon and plug fouling for most users.
