i almost completed the 10 hr break in on a rebuild 1990 115 v4.
the sparkplugs on the bottem have spots of carbon on the insulator and look a little darker than the top plugs wich look great.(light than coller)
am i running lean?? or to rich.
before the rebuild i suspected the lower carb for running lean and burning the pistons.
on top of that the former owner took the tstats out to cool a hot running moter.
this caused the problems in the moter.
now i dont want to have a repeat of this problem.
i realy cleaned the carbs out good and replaced the needle and seat and float. and i leveled it.
the moter runs fine i'm just making shore things are fine before i switch over to 50:1.
the plugs are ql77jc4.
the moter runs nice and warm.
i am a baker so i hold my finger on it for about6 sec.

so carbon spots on insulater means???

thanks reeldutch
