It seems that when i put it into forward gear it doesnt go into gear all the way? I tested it at the dock, i put it in rev and all is good, then i tested forward and it does seem like the prop is moving but untill i push the shifter forward a little farther it then goes into gear all the way. Is this shifter ajustment? the boat has a 5.7 with a bravo 2 outdrive?

Re: do shift cables stretch?

No, the do not stretch, what the do is wear a groove in the outer core of the cable. This creates more slop in the cable and less movement
