been into boating for about a year here, so there's a lot I need to learn...

anyhow, about the only NEW outboard performance hulls I seem to see are bass boats. and i dont ever see smaller performance hulls for outboards. I see plenty of older ones though. in fact, I own one. it has a "bass boat'ish" hull, even though it's only 16 feet with an evinrude 135hp. but it's a 1968 hull. (the motor is a '75). I'm extremely happy with it, but still... if I ever had a desire to replace it with something new, and the wife let me, I don't even know if I could.

Glastron currently has the GT 180 that can take up to 150hp and they also have the SSV 170 that can take up to 115hp.

I don't know if I would consider those performance hulls or not. However, they are very reasonably priced and that GT 180 with a 150hp E-Tec is going to scoot right along.
