Do trim/tilt units have fuses

I have a 1993 Johnny 120,,,and I pulled a boner,,,left the key on all day.I was doing some measuring earlier and left the key on.Went out a while ago(inbetween thunder boomers)and was going to do some more research on motor,and waala,trim was acting slow and funny.Hooked up battery charger for a few minutes and let it sit,now my trim did not work.Did not push the issue,as it is raining again.If there is a fuse,where would it be located.Will not be able to check until the rain stops,possibly tomorrow.

Did you hook up the battery charger backwards?<br /><br />Sometimes there is a fuse (in line) near the starter. They are difficult to locate because they look just like wire connectors.

If its like my evinrude you should have a control box, probably back somewhere close to battery or engine. I have a fuse inside the control box.May be different since yours is quite a bit newer.

There is not a dedicated T&T fuse on that motor. Let your battery get a full charge and try again.

Hey Guys,just went outside,unhooked charger,and waala,it is working again.Possibly it was the low battery voltage,but like I said before,it worked,just seemed to be bunny hopping like the shaft was extremely dry.Anyways,thanks for everyones input.

Richard: You have to be talking about a junction box, not a control box. There are no fuses in the control box of any OMC engine.

I did find an internal overload in my tilt motor when I rebuilt mine.

Your right R.Johnson. I was tired at the time I sent that post and could not think. Went to bed and realized what I had said, meant to go back and change but didn't do it.
