Give me a shirt, or a hat I'll wear it (usually local business). I don't see it as free advertisement I see it as a free shirt. I don't like anything on the front of my shirts just the back, like William Morris Chevrolet :D Only thing on my truck is bird crap

I don't have any advertising on my web site. I avoid search engines that want to put banners etc.

But when someone wants to give me a free t-shirt; hat etc. as long as it isn't degrading

When buying a new vechicle I tell the sales man that I want to get paid for advertising they remove the decal.

Some of it is not always advertising, but affiliation, like a Harley motorcycle owner. Ever see them out riding in Honda apparel?

Many people wear Fox or Thor apparel to affiliate themselves with offroad racing, or Nike apparel to identify with the athletic crowd. Others accessorize with Doonie, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, or Prada to stand out as "elite" and wealthy.

Basically, it just not always the person advertising the brand, but rather the the person advertising themselves through brand names.

I advertise for free every day, everywhere I go. I do not own a shirt that is not Christian. I have them with Christ in the Coke font, Christ in the Crest toothpaste font, crosses, scripture, you name it. If it is a Christian message, I wear it on my shirt. There is nothing else in the world worthy of advertisement than Jesus.
