Ahhhhhhhhh but werent them the good old days The fogger truck down here drew too much attention to get away with riders without someone blowing your cover.The milk truck though was another thing.We used to have a contest as to who could hitch the longer ride down the street.One summer ,it was going too fast to jump off of and left the neighborhood.We had to jump off at the first traffic light about two miles from the house.A bit rattled,but we got off okay.Course then our moms beat the pi$$ out of us with a switch.So we started doing safer stuff,like raiding the ice cream truck when he was diggin out bars on the other side.When we gottta a little older and more financial smarts,we cashed in coke and milk bottles at the corner store for cash.Most we found in ditches ,and some of the dusty milk jugs were from some of the neighbors open garages.<br /><br />Hey, I never claimed to be a sweet little kid.Times were tight.Originally posted by heycods: I remember when I was a kid going to town to visit friends, we would play outside at night, run up and down the streets chaseing the DDT fogging truck.

Besides Rush said (notice everyone listning now, like EF Hutton said) that the DDT thing was a bunch of hooey, so I know that couldnt have caused any probs.
I agree ob, and if you have San Augustine its get very thick like carpet and can make it hard to push the mower. <br /><br />I would still rather mow than weed eat. I get so sick of the line not coming out and having to take it apart 4-5 times everytime I use it to fix it. The weedeater is not my friend.

I have a coordless one by Black and Decker where the only time I have to fiddle with the line feeder, is when I have to replace it with a full one <br /><br />My 10 yr old son helps out on the mowing. I cut the difficult parts, he gets the easy sections.<br /><br />He got mad last time cause I did it all myself.<br /><br />We'll see how his attitude holds when he is 13.<br /><br />Ken
