Living in Mexico City, everything is locked and alarms set all of the time. My kids have never walked out of the gate onto the street without being in a secure vehicle with armed chauffeur. <br />When we go to our lake house in Canada for the summer the doors and cars are never locked and the kids are free to roam at will.
