I am about to purchase my first motor boat. I have pretty much decided that I want a 23' pontoon. I am concerned that my dock does not sit high enough in the water. The level on my lake changes dramaticly throughout the year and is often only a few inches lower than my crib dock. I was hoping to get some advice as I was unable to find a similiar topic with the search function.

Re: Dock Height

At times, I had a similar problem at my last dock. I put three large fenders suspended horizontally from the dock. I had enough line on the fenders to adjust them up and down as necessary.

You can get fenders that attach to the fence and are adjustable to protect the deck coaming and pontoon tube; then you can tie up to any dock.

Don't know your wave action/wind conditions but you might consider mooring whips.
Probably pricey but the few I've seen were pretty effective.Especially if not unreasonably rough conditions.

+1 on the mooring whips. I had forgotten about that possibility.
