Thats how i did it at first ,with also removing all hoses and blowing them clear and then adding the AF.Then I got a Camco set up and have used it since .Winterized more than 30 times .Saves a lot of time and does a thorough job of getting the AF everywhere it need to be.Help to have another set of eyes keeping an eye on the AF level as it runs thru the outdrive so you begin to fog thru carb when you are on the last gallon of AF.CharlieInteresting....have not owned an I/O in years but years past, I simply removed thermostat, opened all the drains and filled the block with pink anti-freee until it came out the drains.
Closed the drains and called it good. Never any problems.
