Does an extended patform count towards overall lenght in spec listings?

I am comparing lots of boats, but cant really tell if those with extended platforms include it in the specs. I am looking at a 2002 Sea Ray select 200 with a factory built in platform, and a 2001 SeaRay select 210 without the extended platform. Is the 200 going to significantly smaller inside, or just 1 foot?

Im hoping boats are all measured from bow to transom or some standard thing like that, but wanted to check. i tried searching

it depends on how honest they are; the same issue applies to bow pulpits. the total length with the add-ons is important for storage considerations, but in boats in that size range, a foot or two "inside" is significant.

Where it really will count is if you try to get a berth at a marina, then you pay length over all.

Boat manufacturers have never been very honest in measurements. There are simply far too many ways to fudge the numbers, both making them shorter as well as longer, depending on the mood of marketing.

Ok, thanks for the replies. The 200 is definitely molded so I'll assume the interior is about 2' smaller than the 210
