Does anyone else go out alone? I've just about had it with my friends...

Thajeffski -> What body of water do you spend time on? If you are near me, I will join you, or you can join me on my boat.

I'm in a similar situation where I need to start boating alone just so I have a chance to go boating once in a while. It does seem that people are always backing out or too busy with silly crap (like shopping for cameras) and my boat spends WAY too much time in the storage lot and not enough time on the water.

Launching and retrieving is a piece of cake solo, heck, when I was married and my ex was out with me on the boat every other weekend I was launching solo because she was really only good at holding a dock line and had absolutely no interest in learning how to drive the truck or boat. I have a system that I have worked out and it seems to work 100% of the time.

My only complaint about boating alone is the 2 hour drive to a lake, but I am starting to learn a little about the Mississippi River which is 15 minutes from my house, I am just not ready to go out there alone just yet.

I'm in the north east :) Launching isnt a problem as I'm in a slip, but I do pull it out every week to wash and flush it. Again, not a big deal alone around here.

I'd def go explore the river alone if I were you! Just have a lifevest near ya at all times.
