Does Honda 8HP pilot jet have center hole?

I've disassembled my BF8AM (1997-ish) carb, and it looks pretty clean in general. Problem toward end of summer was stalling at idle when put in gear, which I have to think is likely a fuel flow issue. Am replacing diaphragm in fuel pump and hoses too, just in case.

Very hard to tell what internal passages go where from the shop manuals (the ones from Honda, not generics). I soaked all parts in liquid from spray can carb cleaner, and shot it through all holes I could find.

I can't tell if the pilot jet is clogged, as it is so small. I see two sets of holes across its diameter, which look clean, and can see that these two diametric "tubes" connect to each other by sliding a thin plastic "wire" (a floss threader) from one to the other. There appears to be no obvious hole down its length, as in the main nozzle. Does it have a tiny hole that may be blocked, or is there no such lengthwise opening? Manual does not illustrate this at all.

Thanks much, Peter
