does not run on all 6 cyls

i have a 225hp johnson 1989. it runs on all 6 cylinders then suddenly one side cuts out and only 3 cylinders are alive. anyone know what the problem is?

Does your motor have two power packs? If so, try switching them. If problem moves to the other bank, bad pack.
