Dont know what model i have

I have mercury 9.9 I bought it was serial number on engine oh000908 I was told that the last 2 numbers was the year but I am having carb issues so was going to order a new carb and give the engine serial number the guy said it's pre 1999 I'm trying to find out the year so I can see if I can find a carb

You don't necessarily need the year with the Merc, but I believe you have a 1995 motor.

The bad news is it looks like the carb is NLA.

I believe this is the carb repair kit....
