Hi everyone,
I just bought a sweeet looking alumacraft, it is very old I think, shaped like a wide canoe, and has a narrow "deck" just like a kayak going all around it....has oarlocks with hollow aluminum oars. It looks like a boat/kayak/canoe blend! aybe 13 feet or so long. Does anyone have any idea which model this is? It looks really well built. Thanks, Lloyd

Congratulations on your "new" boat. If you can post a pic, you stand a better chance of getting some help. If you can find the serial number on it, send it to Alumacraft and they will send you information. On many old Alumacrafts, the serial number is stamped on the knee brace below the transom. Good luck. Post a pic.

It sounds like it might be an Alumacraft Ducker. Look at some photos online and let us know. If's that what you've got you're in real luck. Very desirable with a huge following (check completed eBay listings). Those Alumacraft aluminum oars are a great find themselves too!

Hi All,
Yes it appears to be a ducker. It has had a lot of use, though....I thought it might leak but my son took it out and amazingly it didn't. Pretty great design. I had no idea it was worth anything, I picked it up for scrap from a metal salvage place.

The wood is rotton on the of the oars, and it is swedged in! Anybody know how to deal with this? It appears there is no way to remove the rotton wood!
Thanks for the info, never would have guessed it was of any value....Lloyd
