I'd coat them and the holes with 3M 4200 from Lowe's, HD, or Bass Pro. Clean up with Acetone

Try Ace Hardware. If they don't have any then I'd use some PL Construction Adhesive.

Home Depot should have the 5200 in the adhesives section of the paint dept.

Another option would be LocTite marine epoxy, also found in the same place at HD and Wal-mart.

WalMart has Attwood 7200 polyurethane marine sealant, similar to 4200.

You might want to try another method. YOu could glass some 2x2 blocks to the deck then screw into them from the sides so you don't compromise the deck.

Re: drilling into my deck?

Im going to glass in wooded pieces the size of my seat pedestal bases so that no screws penetrate my deck. Im going to even do the same for my trim pump. I don't want any penetration going into my deck. You could do the same with the seat boxes. It would take some thought, but if it ever did rot, you could cut it off and put in a new piece instead of a new deck

Dry fit the seats..remove them..seal the holes with 4200 or 5200 fast cure.. put the seats back down with a small nickle dab of x200 over each hole..screw the brackets down by Hand. Done..
